let's light it up

Few pictures from when my father and I went to Sector 18, Chandigarh a few days before Diwali. Those of you who don't know Sector 18 is the hub for buying stuff for Diwali, especially lights, to decorate your house. While for most people Diwali is a big deal, my family is pretty low key about it and this is probably the first time in all my years of existence that I actually went to a market when it was bursting with people.

But oh, what an experience it was. Light strings hanging everywhere, people jostling and pushing and basically hubbub in the air. Souls full of verve and hope to celebrate the beautiful festival of lights.

P.S. I have recently discovered something about myself and would love to share it here. I'm kind of an introvert, but I have noticed that despite the notion that introverts like to stay at home and in their comfort zone, I love to go to crowded places and well, just exist there. I also like talking to new people, strangers, rather I want to keep meeting new people. I ache for constant change!  Now, what does that make me? ;) Tell me your thoughts in the comments

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.
(observe how the caption legit goes with the picture - child, men everything)
