Film-making, Part Trois

As a culmination to the film-making workshop, I got to shoot a film starring me! I had written a script on 'swimming', something I am and will always be very passionate about.

A water baby through and through, I learnt to swim when I was 7 and since then it has been an important part of who I am.

When we had amazing coaching facility in school, I did extremely well and won quite a few accolades but as is the plight of most sportswomen and men in India, I could not really imagine a career in swimming unless I move abroad which is a huge leap. Alas, my dream of winning an Olympic gold would forever remain that, a dream.

I'm not a big fan of summers but the mere thought of the sparkling blue water calls to me and so, I often find myself beckoning the summer heat.

Swimming is my escape. I don't have a pool at home ( though I would love to. My dream pool is the one in the film adaptation of 'Atonement'. So romantic! ) so I have to use the one at a club nearby. That one hour is though less than what I'd like, but enough for me to relax, unwind, let go and just for a while not give a damn about anything.

So here I present to you, ' In My Element', starring yours truly!

I would like to thank Mr Rahul Datta from Starving Artist Films for shooting and editing this and for conducting the wonderful workshop at school (2017).
